GB3UT Information. The repeater is located in a small building on top of a accommodation block at the University of Bath. At this time there are a few problems with the receive capabilities of the repeater. But it can receive both Analogue and Digital TV transmissions directed at it from the South and East. The Digital signal needs to be at 4Ms/s with a fec 3/4, but the Rx can can switch automatically to other fec values. Video pid = 256 Audio pid=257. Input frequency 1249MHz. for both analogue and digital input signals. The Output is only analogue at 1311.5MHz .24/7 test cards are displayed along with a natural sound track. The repeater has a Teletext service on the analogue system, this is maintained twice weekly by Robin G8DRK and has upwards of 400 pages of science, space, health and ham radio articles, including Radio rally information. The repeater is streamed onto the BATC Internet streamer via G8BYI QTH 12km away. So this can be used as a look-through , a remote viewing facility or for linking up with other repeater groups and individual amateurs. This stream also has a chat facility that can be useful for leaving messages or for live chatting.
