This is my current Observatory a dome called the SkyShed Pod it is a clam shell type dome made from polyethylene. I had it shipped from Canada via a UK Astro shop. For years I had made do with various home built structures, none were much good. But this one means I just arrive open the dome and start observing . The shed next to it is a warm room, where I can remotely control most aspects of the telescope and its cameras. Below are various pictures of the setup. Not many actual star photos yet….I have now started to motorize the dome opening and closing. This saves my back and is quieter so not to annoy neighbors should I drop the dome at Midnight.
